Face Data and Photo Processing

When you use HairStyleShare - Color Try On's hairstyle transformation features, you may upload photos containing your face. Here's exactly how we handle this sensitive information:

What We Collect

We collect photos you choose to upload from your device's photo library that show your face and hair. These photos are:

• Automatically resized to optimize processing
• Compressed to JPEG format for efficient transmission
• Processed entirely on a temporary, transient basis
• Never stored permanently on our servers

How We Use Your Photos

Your photos are processed by Google's Gemini AI model via Google's Generative Language API to generate realistic visualizations of how different hairstyles and hair colors would look on you. This processing happens in real-time and:

• Analyzes your uploaded photo
• Applies the hairstyle or color transformation you selected
• Generates a new image showing the transformation
• Returns the result to your device
• Completes in approximately 10–30 seconds

Data Sharing with Google

Your photos are securely transmitted to Google LLC's Generative Language API for AI processing using HTTPS/TLS encryption and Google's enterprise-grade infrastructure. According to Google's Generative AI Service Terms, content you submit through the API is:

• Processed transiently for your requested transformation only
• Not used to train or improve Google's AI models
• Not retained after processing is complete
• Subject to Google's security and privacy standards

No Other Third-Party Sharing

We do not share your photos with any other third parties beyond Google's API service. We do not sell, rent, or share your photos with advertisers, data brokers, analytics companies, or any other services.

Data Storage and Retention

Your Device:Original photos remain in your photo library under your complete control. Generated transformation images are saved only to your device's local storage and can be deleted at any time.

During Processing:Photos exist in temporary device memory only during the transformation (10–30 seconds) and are transmitted to Google's API for immediate processing. No copies are stored on our servers at any point.

After Processing: Your original photo is never retained by us or Google. All temporary data is immediately discarded.

Retention Period: Zero. We do not retain your photos after processing is complete.

What We Don't Do

HairStyleShare - Color Try On does NOT:

• Perform facial recognition or biometric authentication
• Create face templates, facial signatures, or biometric identifiers
• Extract or store biometric data from your photos
• Analyze faces for demographic information (age, gender, ethnicity, etc.)
• Track individuals across photos or sessions
• Use facial data for advertising or user profiling
• Build databases of faces or facial features
• Compare your face to other users or databases

Your Control

• You choose which photos to upload — we never access your library without permission
• You can delete generated images from your device anytime
• You can stop using the service at any time without consequence
• No data persists after you delete generated images from your device
• No account required — we don't track your identity or usage patterns

Security

• HTTPS/TLS 1.2+ encryption for all data in transit
• Google Cloud's security infrastructure for processing
• No permanent storage means no long-term security risks
• No user accounts or passwords to be compromised
• Minimal data collection reduces potential exposure

Automatically Collected Information

When you use our app, we may automatically collect:

Subscription and Payment Information

HairStyleShare - Color Try Onoffers subscription services through Apple's In-App Purchase system:

• All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store
• We do not collect or store your payment information
• Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID account settings
• We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status (they do not receive payment information)

Children's Privacy

HairStyleShare - Color Try On is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information, including photos or face data, from children under 13. Since we do not store photos or personal information, there is no data to delete from our servers.

Google Generative Language API

RevenueCat
